Description

Message Digest Algorithm, a widely used cryptographic hash function, can generate a 128-bit hash value to ensure the integrity and consistency of information transmission.

MD5-32 consists of 32 hexadecimal numbers, equivalent to 16 bytes.
The computation process for a MD5-16 is the same as that of a MD5-32; the only difference is that the MD5-16 takes the middle 8 bytes of the computed result.

  • Result of MD5-16: 64 bits, 8 bytes
  • Result of MD5-32: 128 bits, 16 bytes
